Mr. Larry Crabb, OMM CD (Col Retd)

Following his graduation as a Civil Engineer, Larry Crabb served as an instructor pilot, fighter pilot and squadron commander in the Canadian Air Force.  During his 25-year military career he achieved the rank of Colonel and was awarded the Order of Military Merit. After running the UN air force in the Middle East, working in NATO Headquarters, commanding two tactical fighter squadrons in West Germany, and directing the Air Force curriculum for the Canadian Forces College, he was seconded to a NATO civilian consulting firm (NAPMA) in Holland in charge of the AWACS program.

             At NATO's program management agency (NAPMA) Larry was the highest ranking Canadian, and eventually second-in-command as Brigadier equivalent.  He was the Project Manager responsible for incorporating a fleet of early-warning radar planes (AWACS) into the NATO force, and building special-purpose airfields for them at bases in Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway and Turkey. He directed all legal, contractual, financial and technical aspects of over $1 billion worth of other high technology projects within Europe and the U.S.A., dealing at the highest level with contractors like Boeing and Westinghouse.

On his return to Canada, as a principal partner in the Presidents Network consulting firm, he has used his extensive experience in project development, management, and international relations in working with business start-ups, strategic planning, preparing business plans and raising venture capital. .  As a certified ISO auditor, he also guides companies through their ISO 9000 (International Standards Organization) certification.  He also serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards to a number of firms.
